Where does the time go..................................
Olly has been back to the specialist about his eyes and we got a great report. Haven't worked out how really as he was meant to be wearing a patch for the last 3 months for 2 hours a day and we have only succeded in probably 20 times all up. But now they say we don't have to wear one till we go back at the end of February.
The second is of Abby at Christmas based on the Sencond sketch.
I have done a couple of others that I must photograpy. I'll put that on my to-do list.Saturday, December 22, 2007
New web site :)

Well not long now till the jolly big man in a red suit appears. I bet everyone elses kids are as excited as mine. Every morning "How many more sleeps?" they know but just want reasurance they haven't missed a day LOL. Hopefully the weather isn't going to be too harsh on us, I'm wanting to go to the river so the kids can go fishing and take a bbq down.
At the moment my mother is up north with her family. Nana H always has a christmas get together before christmas for all the family and friends and basically anyone who wants to go, so this year mum decided to go up and only told Nana. So all the family was hugely surprised as my cousin was over from Soul with her husband two kids (and pregnant with twins), another cousin was over from Australia, so they are all having a good catch up tomorrow before she flies home.
Another cousin of mine is laid up in hospital at the moment. She had a baby by c-section on Thursday and yesterday colapsed (luckily while there was a nurse with her). She was not breathing and her heart had stopped. She is now in the hospital part hooked up to a oxygen and a drip with blood thining agents in it. She had a clot in her abdomin and it moved into her lungs. I was talking to her this morning and by the sound of it will be in there until after the new year anyway. What is worse is she isn't even allowed to hold wee Tom as she isn't allowed to bend her arms legs etc incase it causes more blood clots. So he is in the maternity hospital and she is in the public hospital. I'm looking at going down to see her tomorrow.
If I'm not back before Christmas (or your not back before Christmas). Have a safe and merry Christmas and New Year, and drive safely, watch out there are idiots on our roads :)

My baby girl is 4
I have to admit it, every other birthday all my kids have had just seems like another day and nothing seems to change. Well this one really blew me away because all of a sudden my baby girl seemed grown up. She seemed taller, she seemed more mature she seemed more......older. And I mean that never happens over one night and I can't for the life of me work out why.

Mum and dad came down for the day which was going to be great because the boys were meant to have athletics in Lawrence but the weather wasn't good so it was postponed until tomorrow, so they missed out on that. But we had a great day and Abby just thought it was wonderful. Mum and Dad gave her a lovely we pink skirt and some make up which she thought was great. .jpg)
We met my parents in Lawrence and Abby went with mum and dad while I went to the Dr. Abby said to Dad. "Grandad, I've got something cool to show you." and then led him into a shop and walked to the back. She put her hands on her hips and said "oh no, its not here, where is it. GRAN where is it gone?" The lady came back and asked what was wrong. Abby wanted to know where the pink fishing rod had gone. Aparently about 10 months ago she was in there with Gran and had showed her and gran said to show grandad next time and he might get it for her. Gran and Grandad had a very upset child on our hands and to make things worse, it was sold the day before.

The second is a envelope that was made on the cricut machine (thanks Lara) and altered
and last but by no means least is a tag off Jakes pair of jeans that I brought him altered.
Well the weather hasn't been too good here the last few days. Monday we had snow falling (brrr).
I've finally been to the dr about my shoulder. I had to really, it wasn't improving and I just couldn't sleep properly. Shouldn't of bothered though, cause now I have to go to physio. She thinks the shoulder could be freezing up and one muscle needs work apparently and she also thinks that I have carpel tunnells and thinks I will need a cortisone (SP) injection. Like there is no way that is going to happen. Then she noticed me limping and checked my achilies and there is big swelling there too. I think it would be easier if they made me into dog tucker LOL . So I have physio tomorrow and hopefully she is able to straighten out my problems (well the obvious ones anyway ).
Well that is it for this session. Take care

I am Baaacccckkk

Friday there is pet day at school and Jake is taking Garry and Billy (two mice) and Olly is taking Fluffy (guinea pig). Luckily we don't have a horse float or they would want to take Honey and it is just a little too far to ride down. (Phew).
Yesterday I took the boys to school and just as we were about to leave Jake announces that he cant find his school bag. We looked everywhere (it was packed with his lunch books etc ). We checked the horse pen, lamb pen, the kids old car, garage, bedroom everywhere. I was so frustrated, like how hard could it be to find a kids school bag. Obviously harder than I thought. Then I remembered he borrowed a pair of scissors form my scrapping desk. Here was the bag, under the desk with the chair pushed in behind it. I know I have trouble finding things at the desk at times but I never thought it was so bad I couldn't find the kids school bag there. And the area had been cleaned up the other night when I made some cards. It is a first for me. And all Jake was worried about was, what he was going to eat for lunch LOL.
Well I'm off to pick the kids up from the bus. I willlll beeee baaack :) Take care

Can you believe it another family member?

Well we have. It is a horse for the kids and her name is Little Honey. What a shock, two horses in three weeks. :) Little Honey is actually on loan to us for as long as we want her. She is 25 years old and about 11.2 hands high. She just adores kids and I admit the kids just love her to bits. We went and got her yesterday when we picked Jake up from my parents. Then at lunch time I rang the local farrier to get her feet trimmed and he came out this afternoon. He did a great job and while he was here I got him to do Mollys as well. Poor Abby got a little upset as she thought he was going to do something horrible to "My Little Honey." LOL
The kids all had a ride on her this morning and Jake and Olly have ridden on their own. There was no way we were helping there. Abby wanted to as well but we had to draw a line somewhere. Honey has done alot of work with kids and even was a horse with the riding for the disabled for a few years, so she certainly has the patience.
I will get photos of her being ridden as this certainly isn't a very nice view :)
What else has been happening? Not sure if I mentioned it or not but our deck is finneshed and it looks fab. Pulled one front fence out to do a new one (the old one was rusted and looked diabolical (sp). There is two posts in and the holes dug for the other six. Hopefully weather permitting we will be getting onto it again soon.
Well that is it for now. No sbing pages to share, sorry. Hopefully next time

Bit cool here today
This layout was done for scrapbook outlet as well. It was a challenge from Donna to use chipboard, which I don't need any excuse to use any way. I have painted, stamped and glossed it. Yummo
Well today we had playgroup which went really well, about 12 kids there, tonight I have my caligraphy course, which I just love. Tomorrow I take the new motorbike to town for its big check and have a hair cut then as well. Well I am actually just having a trim and thin out. I decided before dads birthday that I was going to grow it then I thought it would look nicer short for his party so cut it and thought I would grow it long. After scrapcamp with the longer wig on I am definately giving it a try, but for those of you who know me, know that by christmas it will probably be cut short again LOL. My old friend Jane who is a hairdresser use to laugh. One week I would have it cut short then the next, growing it long. Will see how long this lasts for LOL.
Well that is about it from me. Take care and keep smiling. :)

Woops forgot a layout
What a gorgeous day here today. We have been vaccinating and dipping ewes yesterday and today and I was out mustering a couple of paddocks on foot just after lunch today. It was just so beautiful and peaceful. I stopped and listen and all I could hear was tui's and the running water at the creek as it went over a little waterfall, just simply divine, and not a breathe of wind. It was just to gorgeous to put into words, then I had to start climbing a hill, and all I could hear was me breathing in and out LOL. Tomorrow we have playgroup and and I am on duty, and I haven't had time to bake. Usually I make sure I do plenty of baking and take along a selection of Custard squares etc. Might have to be scones tomorrow LOL. Then tomorrow afternoon I am off to stock up on my groceries then tomorrow night I am off to my course. I have started a caligraphy course in Milton (about half an hour away). It is one of those adult learning things and runs for 6 weeks. been to one. All I can do is i,t and l and only in lower case lol. I loved it though, and there is some lovely ladies there. I am the youngest by about 25 years :) so feel a bit out of place, but we all enjoy it so that is the main thing. All the others are card makers so I might have to take along some scrapbooking pages :).

I'm Baaaack
In the end there was 8 of us there for Friday to Sunday and there was only me and one other lady who wasn't there on the Thursday night. We were also priviledged to have Andrea from Scrapbook outlet come and join us Saturday afternoon and she stayed the night too. Was great to have finally meet her, talked on the phone a few times but was great to put a face to a name.
I'm already looking forward to the next scrap retreat. Just a pitty it is so far away. :(

This was a project donated by Andrea at Scrapbook outlet and Lara took us through the steps of altering it. It started of as plain chipboard and our project was to alter it. We also made transparency pages to go in it. It was a great wee project.

We also had to make a card out of left overs from another layout (Not associated with the challenge). This is the layout I did from the last retreat.
and here is everyones take on the challenge. Tanyas layout is the top right hand corner.
We also had to make a card that used no usual adhesives (and you couldn't use stickers to hold the paper on). I've used sewing and brads on this.
This project was called "Andreas- stripping in the dark" . LOL We all got a piece of scenic route Scrap Strip2, a sheet of Black Bling, ribbon, flower and a paisley. We could do what we wanted with it and I chose to make a minni album of us all down at the river. I never had any photos so that is one of my projects this week. On the inside front cover I have the paisley that I am going to use for a date etc, but when I made it I had no idea.
Here is everyones take on the project, Isn't it amazing all the different layouts that come from the same products :).
This is a pillow box that Tanya did for a project for us. The goodies were supplied by Meg at Scrapbook essentials for this one.
Another challenge was to do a laout where the words or journaling was the focus of the page and if you had photos on it they had to support it. I used no pp for this and my new Autumn leaves stamps (Thanks Andrea :) )
This is one where we weren't to use any cardstock. I love these papers.
Just one I did for me :) Again using my new stamps.
And another one just for me.
Another layout from the challenge. You had to scraplift someone elses layout from the retreat (this was before Tanya had done hers). This is a scraplift from Lyn's layout.
Well that is it for this time. Take care

What a week

Here is Abbys bike which was left outside over night LOL.
And the outdoor furniture that we were having a bbq lunch on 5 days ago.
And our Olly. Believe it or not he is trying to ride his push bike, and he is about to go over the motorgate LOL. (Or cattlestop which ever you use LOL). He ended up getting frustrated and put it away LOL.
We were meant to be scanning on Sunday, but we rang our scanner man and told him it might pay not to come. He is now coming on Tuesday, it will be we but at least there won't be snow around (Hopefully).
We finally heard back from the insurance company and they looked at the bike and decided that there was no way they were going to fix it. Which is kind of good as the bike shop said that it would never be the same again with all the damage done to it. (whoops). We have a loan one at the moment and they are bringing a new one hopefully this week. Well that is it for this week.
Take care
